Ohio Match Depressurization – October 16th

The Ohio Match Estates water system was subject to depressurization on Friday afternoon. The system experienced a power failure and while the generator actuated, the booster pumps that pressurize the system failed to energize. The District’s electrician is troubleshooting this issue so that it does not reoccur.

District operators will be collecting total coliform samples from the system on Monday, October 19th to verify the integrity of the water supply. Results will be posted to the website upon receipt from the laboratory on Tuesday, October 20th.

Depressurization can create the potential for contaminants to enter the distribution system. For more information on how to protect your health during a depressurization event, please click here.
