In 2021 the District evaluated options to address significant capacity concerns on the Chilco Service Area system.

As an alternative to drilling a third well at an estimated cost of over one million dollars, District staff and project engineers carefully evaluated the option to upsize pumps installed in the existing two wells supplying this system.  The option increased our pumping capacity from 600 to 900 gallons per minute, at a total cost of $65,000, funded out of District reserve set aside funds.
